Mesotherapy is a medical procedure where a combination of specific FDA-approved drugs, vitamins and supplements are injected directly into the skin (the mesoderm or middle layer of skin is injected) in problem areas for the purpose of decreasing inflammation and/or fat in the targeted area. Syringes with very small needles are filled with the appropriate mixture of drugs to treat a specific area in hopes of correcting the problem at the site. Most patients see desired results over the course of treatment, which can range from five to twenty 15-minute sessions - depending on a patient's specific concerns.
